What is Life like in Antarctica?
In our lesson on Antarctica you were asked your opinion about the activities of Japanese whalers in Antarctic waters. However, before you express an opinion it is a good idea to do a little research so that you can understand the topic more intelligently. An intelligent person always wants to know both sides of an issue, in other words, the PRO (for) and the CON (against).
Here are some articles which you should read:
Anti-whaling Information
Pro-whaling Information
Something to think about...
Australian Government Video of Japanese Whaling
Understanding Japan's Whale Ethics
Information about Whales

Tokushin London Trip
Here are some places I recommend students visit on their visit to London:
First, the Museum of London, is probably one of the best museums in London and it is FREE! It explains the history of the city with a section of the original Roman wall nearby for students to see close up.
Next, I recommend St. Paul's Cathedral. It is an amazing place! Visit the Whispering Gallery and then climb all the way to the top of the cathedral for a terrific view of London!
No visit to London would be complete without a visit to Westminster Abbey. Nearly all the kings and queens of England are buried there along with many other famous people from history. Check out the museum which is open every day and is one the best-kept secrets of London!
Visit these places if you can! Good luck in London and be careful!

History of Britain
Tokushin 2nd-year students will soon go to England for a school trip. Wow! You guys are so lucky! When I was a high school student, going to the local park for a BBQ was our "big" school trip! Going to someplace like England was just a dream....
I have been to Britain many times. It is one of my favourite places to visit. I like the history of Britain so I enjoy visiting all of the many historic castles, cathedrals and museums that make Britain's history so easy to understand. I also enjoy the wonderful scenic beauty of the countryside. There is so much to see and do there!
To make your trip to Britain more educational, I have made a new website which explains the history of Britain in a simple way. Just click this link and find out more about the place you will go. You will enjoy your trip more if you know its history!
